ASTM A53 Seamless tubing

ASTM A53—Uncoated and hot-dip galvanized welded and seamless nominal steel pipe

There are two types of seamless tubing: DIN and ASTM American standard seamless steel tube. German seamless steel tube standard, or JIS Japanese seamless steel tube that complies with GB standards.
While ASTM American standard seamless steel tubes are more widely available worldwide and come in a variety of types and branches, Chinese standard seamless steel tubes, API seamless steel tubes, and other types are also available.

ASTM A53/A53M/ASME SA-53/SA-53M uses:

It is suitable for use as force-bearing and pressure-bearing parts, and can also be used for general-purpose steam, water, gas and air pipelines.

Mainly produced steel pipe grades: A, B, etc.

ASTM A53 seamless steel pipe is a material of American standard steel pipe. A53-A is equivalent to domestic 10# steel, A53-B is equivalent to domestic 20# steel, and A53-F is equivalent to domestic Q235 material.

The two primary methods used in the manufacture of A53 seamless steel tubes are cold drawing and hot rolling. The primary distinction between the two is that cold-rolled seamless tube production is typically a more involved process than hot-rolled seamless tube production. Cold-rolled seamless tubes have a shorter appearance than hot-rolled seamless tubes. Cold-rolled seamless steel tubes have a brighter surface but typically have thinner walls than hot-rolled seamless steel tubes. Hot-rolled steel pipe has a somewhat uneven surface.

The main production process of ASTM A53 seamless tubing:

①Main production processes of hot-rolled seamless steel tubes (△Main inspection processes):
Preparation and inspection of tube blank △ → heating of tube blank → perforation → pipe rolling → steel pipe reheating → diameter determination (reduction) → heat treatment △ → finished pipe straightening → finishing → inspection △ (non-destructive, physical and chemical, Taiwan inspection) → warehousing

②The main production processes of cold-rolled (drawn) seamless steel tubes:
Blank preparation→pickling and lubrication→cold rolling (drawing)→heat treatment→straightening→finishing→inspection
