Difference Between Long Radius Elbow And Short Radius Elbow

Elbows are classified based on their curvature radius as either long radius elbows or short radius elbows. A long radius elbow has a curvature radius equal to 1.5 times the outer diameter of the pipe (R=1.5D), while a short radius elbow has a curvature radius equal to the outer diameter of the pipe (R=D).
